Project Overview & The Deep Challenge
Project Context
Shindeeg is a specialized marketplace designed to connect the key players in the live events and entertainment sector: DJs (Service Providers), Event Promoters (Venue/Event Organizers), and Party Goers and also people who wants to hire Djs (Customers). The platform's goal is to simplify the discovery, booking, and management of live music and events.
The Problem Statement
How might we design a unified platform that caters to four distinct user needs enabling Promoters to effortlessly list events, DJs to showcase their sets, and Party Goers to simply discover and book tickets all while maintaining administrative oversight?
The Core Design Challenge: The primary hurdle was creating a seamless Listing and Booking Flow that efficiently managed the transactional relationship between two provider types (DJs and Promoters) and one customer type (Party Goer), requiring hyper-specific dashboards and simple, conversion-focused consumer journeys.

Research & Segmentation: Designing for Four Audiences
My research centered on mapping the unique journeys of each user type, identifying where their workflows overlapped and diverged.
Key Research Insights
Party Goer's Need for Speed: Party Goers prioritize visual appeal, FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) indicators, and an extremely fast checkout process, often driven by mobile use.
Promoter's Management Load: Promoters require robust, high-fidelity management tools for ticketing, sales tracking, and communicating with booked talent (DJs). They need a comprehensive Event Management Dashboard.
DJ's Portfolio Presentation: DJs need dedicated tools to showcase their brand, music samples, and most importantly, an intuitive way to manage their availability and receive accurate gig details.
The Solution: Specialized Flows and Unified Discovery
The final design strategy involved creating specialized provider dashboards while ensuring the customer-facing discovery process was consistent and simple.
Simple Listing Creation (DJ & Promoter Workflows)
We prioritized reducing onboarding friction for providers by creating two tailored, multi-step wizards:
DJ Listing Wizard: Focused on capturing essential service data: music genre tagging, hourly rate, media uploads (mixes), and setting up the Availability Calendar. The process was streamlined to ensure rapid profile completion.
Promoter Event Wizard: Focused on transactional data: Venue details, ticket tiers, capacity limits, and integration with the DJ hiring flow (e.g., requesting bids from pre-vetted DJs).
Event Discovery & Booking (Party Goer Workflow)
The customer-facing application was designed for immediate engagement and low-friction conversion.
"Find Your Perfect Vibe" Search: The central search function was optimized for mood and genre, moving beyond simple date/location inputs.
The Conversion Funnel:
Event Card: Designed for rapid scanning prominent visuals, date/time, Scarcity Indicators (e.g., "50% Sold Out"), and Ticket Price.
Detail Page: Focused on high-quality promoter/venue media, social integration (easy sharing), and a visible, high-contrast "Get Tickets Now" button.
One-Click Checkout: The final payment step was reduced to the fewest possible inputs, leveraging stored payment methods for repeat users to maximize conversion rate.
The Centralized Admin Dashboard
The administrative flow was designed for compliance and quality control.
Vetting Queue: Automated and manual review tools for new DJ and Promoter profile submissions to ensure safety and quality.
Transaction Oversight: Real-time visibility into ticket sales, payouts, and service fees across all events and bookings.
